We were first introduced to Kate Holly in What Looks Like
Crazy. Poor Kate divorced her husband Jay because he was a
firefighter and was in danger all the time, or so she
thought. Little did she know that she was the one in danger
all the time. If it wasn't one thing it was another. The
final straw was when one of her more addled patients
threatened to blow up her office with a vial of nitro. She
mistakenly thought he was bluffing until she threw the
vial. Yikes!
Now Kate has been evicted and has nowhere else to go. She
feels like she is hanging on by a thread. It doesn't help
that she and Jay are trying to go to therapy but he keeps
skipping out on her. It also doesn't help that her mother
is all up in her business. Kate knows she means well but
still....how much more can she take? If it wasn't for her
best friend and receptionist Mona, she didn't know what she
would do.
Oh my goodness, I've never laughed so hard in my life.
Charlotte Hughes writes such an entertaining book in NUTCASE
that I
just have to see what she will make Kate come up with
next. As I turn the last page of the book, I wipe the
tears of laughter from my eyes and look forward to Kate's
next adventure!
Readers will go nuts for the new Kate Holly
novel.
Psychologist Kate Holly is about to get
evicted from her office, and her best option may be to share
space with her jacuzzi-loving ex-boyfriend, Dr. Thad Glazer.
That’s not going to help her patch things up with her
firefighter ex-husband. With her oddball patients, meddling
mother, and eccentric secretary thrown into the mix—not to
mention a spree of suspicious fires—will Kate put her life
back together or wind up in a padded cell?
