In this follow-up to THE COLD SPOT, Chase is on a mission to find is grandfather Jonah, a legendary criminal with a serious brutal streak. Rumor has it Jonah has committed murder and kidnapped a child, his young daughter. Chase is determined to find Jonah and save the little girl from the childhood Chase endured while being raised by his grandfather.

Still reeling from the death of his wife, Chase is forced into the world of crime he left behind in able to raise enough capital to go after Jonah once and for all. In the process, Chase mixes it up with a bumbling mafia family and on the verge of self-destruction, teenage hookers scoring at cheap Interstate motels and fat-cat drug pushers in sleazy bars.

Chase is constantly haunted throughout the book by the ghosts of his parents, sibling and wife. They push him forward to seek truth and justice and stop Jonah. Chase's intimate knowledge of the crime world paired with his conscious make for a gripping read.

SUMMARY
