David is very young in angel terms even though it's been
over 50 years since his transformation. He's a "made"
not "born" angel, yet he embraces his duty in protecting
the world and fighting evil. During the rescue of his
mentor, the angels receive help from a mermaid who has
darkness within her. David feels an immediate connection
that quickly compels him to become her keeper. To his
dismay, this approach does not go over well with her.
Convincing her to permit him to protect her by becoming
part of her world may prove to be more than the angels
themselves will allow.
At a very early age, Mina's lack of solidarity with her
