Marcus Forscher is a mathematical genius. His magic allows him to work formulas which confound many. He proposes a formula which would allow magical practitioners with lesser abilities to improve their spells.

Gloriana Morgan is a botanist. Her magic is intuitive and she is able to cause plants to grow. She disagrees with Forscher's work after it is published. Her letter rebutting his formula so intrigues the owner of the magazine that he sets up a series of debates between the two professors.

The debates generate the public interest that he expects but it also polarizes the community. Some agree that the formula has possibilities; others see it as a way of forcing them to work within a circumscribed set of rules.

Even though Marcus and Gloriana aren't that far apart in opinion, the two sides create havoc at each debate. When Marcus and Gloriana start getting threatening emails and letters, the situation becomes very dangerous. While their proponents remain ferociously divided, Marcus and Glori find themselves so attracted to each other that they may not be able to control the attraction.

Marcus has always shunned the emotional side of magic, while Glori has embraced it. Together, the two of them will explore the idea of soul mates and what it means in their lives.

In YOUR MAGIC OR MINE Ms. Macela has once again written an articulate, believable story which is both compelling and intriguing. It makes me wish I had read her first books in the Magic series. Ms. Macela is a wonderful writer who draws the reader into the story and makes them reluctant to emerge from the story to deal with real life.
