Rogue Hunters are immortals who are associated with the
Argeneaus and work for the Council, hunting vampires who've
broken their laws. Garrett Mortimer is just such a vampire,
and he's come to a prime lakeside vacation spot to search
for what is almost certainly a rogue. The first night he's
there, he sees Samantha Willan and is definitely intrigued.
Samantha is an attorney whose sisters have finally
browbeaten her into taking some time off. She's a
workaholic whose last relationship didn't work out well, so
even though she's up for some rest and relaxation, she's
not in the market for a man. But her sisters have a
different take on that subject and are determined to make
sure Samantha has a vacation she can remember fondly --
especially after they meet Garrett. As far as they're
concerned, he's just what the doctor ordered. Garrett and
Samantha have little say in the matter as circumstances
make sure they spend lots of time together. But the rogue
vampire may have something to say about Garrett and whether
he even has a life -- let alone a choice in how he spends it.
This book was fun. As always, Ms. Sands delivers an
Argeneau tale that is a delight. The characters of Sam and
Mortimer are fresh, intriguing and spirited -- just perfect
for this story. If you haven't sampled the Argeneau series
yet, you've missed out and need to pick them up right away.
Ms. Sands has another winner in THE ROGUE HUNTER and I
can't wait for the next Argeneau book. A good read.
Samantha Willan is a workaholic lawyer. She's grateful for
some rest and relaxation in cottage country, and after a
recent breakup she wants to stay as far away from romance
as possible. Then she meets her irresistible new neighbor.
There's something strange and mysterious about his eyes.
Is it just her imagination, or are they locked on her
neck?
Garrett Mortimer is a rogue hunter. His
last assignment united Lucian Argeneau with his lifemate,
and Mortimer is hoping this one will be less . . .
adventurous. He's here to track down a reported rogue, but
fun in the sun is every bloodsucker's nightmare. Worse, he
can't seem to get his mind off Samantha, especially when
he spies her skinny-dipping in the lake. After eight
hundred years as a bachelor, is he ready to turn a
volatile attraction into a lasting love affair?
