Charles Roussel doesn't expect Nanette Vicknair to welcome him with open arms, after he abandoned her twelve years ago and not to mention the fact that Nanette is in danger of losing her home because of him. I read one of the previous books in this series, so I had my fingers crossed that Charles and Nanette would get their happily ever after but, this book exceeded my expectations for Nanette and Charles. I loved the risk that Kelley St. John took in creating a world that defies all logic but, somehow found a way to make it believable to me, the reader. The word that popped in my head after I finished reading this book was "Wow" because there's no other word that could express what I felt. This book was simply amazing, Nanette and Charles felt so real, that they literally came alive in this book. The thing that I really loved about this book was how Nanette and Charles relationship progressed , it happened in a realistic way. This book taught me to believe in the impossible and that love is the strongest force out there. The love scenes in this book were scorching. I'm in awe of Kelley St. John and have become a fan of hers and can't wait to read more of her work.
