Thriller

Gina Fegaris at birth, now Gia Moon, has a gift of sorts that is both unconditional and unexplainable even for the most unbiased observer. She is a psychic who paints pictures leading police to crime scenes. Not knowing how her brush does it, she fully or maybe not so fully embraces the talent she has been given. Her concern, though, is for her daughter coming of age also exhibiting the same metaphysical flair. She would help her transition into the woman she could be, but Stella so named for her grandmother, keeps shutting her out. That could prove to be dangerous for both Fegaris women and the ones they love.

FBI agent working for the National Institute for Strategic Artifacts, Carin Barnes, has been involved in the paranormal world for personal reasons. She has an autistic brother and research in the metaphysical science arena has been her only hope of reaching him. Housed in the Institute run by Gia's father, Carin's brother is not making the strides she had hoped. Carin will do anything to help her brother -- beg, borrow or even steal.

Seven has been under Gia's spell more than once, but she betrayed him the first time he worked with her on an investigation. Reuniting for this new case of children being murdered with ancient relic stones in their hands, Seven and Gia have got to put their feelings aside in order to catch a cold and calculating murderer who is playing with more than a full deck right under their own noses. Add a few more beguiling characters, a plot that is fast paced, and you have got the makings of a best seller.

There is no way to fully give this book its credit due in a short review. I find most paranormal literature a bit on the ridiculous side; too fake to be believable. Not Ms. Cruise's DARK MATTER. She has intellectually established a genre that far exceeds the boundaries of most paranormal writings. It is both intriguing and plausible. Obviously based on fantastic research, this is a great read. She has won me over! I can't wait until the next novel in this fantastic series.

SUMMARY

There are those among us whose mental capacity is so evolved that they are able to tap into abilities that are beyond this world. Often diagnosed as autistic, these medical marvels have led quiet lives, ignored by science.

Until now.

One by one, these special "Indigo children" are disappearing and turning up dead. Now a boy handcuffed in a basement awaits his turn while two predators fulfill a mission for a madman.

Caring for her own autistic brother, FBI agent Carin Barnes is driven to find the missing boy and hunt down his abductors—psychic twins Adam and Evie. At the command of their father, the pair are collecting children for torturous experiments he believes will lead to the evolution of the human race.

But in order to succeed, they need one powerful element...something that Carin and her brother possess… matter that elevates some minds to the highest levels of intelligence—and drags others to the deepest pits of hell.
