Anthony Hamilton has the face and personality which
admirably suits his lifestyle. His rakish good looks and
seductive skills enable him to draw women into investments,
which may make it possible to for him to earn an honest living. When he falls in love with Celia Reece, he offers her
brother his promise of reformation if he is able to win her.
Celia has already accepted another proposal. His despair
causes Anthony to completely reform his life. Now, Celia is widowed and her mother is searching for a
match for her. Celia was a vibrant young woman before her
marriage. Her marriage was unhappy and she learned to hide
her feelings and herself from the world. Celia and Anthony meet again at a house party and Anthony is
shocked by the changes in her. He sets out to bring her back
to life and finds himself drawn into a duel of wits. Their love will lead them to a wedding despite the fact that
someone is trying to separate them. Celia will learn to
trust her heart and Anthony while they search for the man
who is attempting to kill him. A RAKE'S GUIDE TO SEDUCTION is a lovely read. We see a man
who turns his life
around only after a disappointment in love. His desire to
bring love back into Celia's life starts with the admirable
intention of making her open a new future. When that future
leads to them being together, the changes in their
circumstances will lead to a deeper, richer love.
