I have been reading Michele Bardsley's books for a very long time and know deep down that I am in for an all around enjoyable read the minute I crack open one of her books. Her Broken Heart series are books that I have a very hard time waiting patiently for.

This one is Patsy's story. Patsy is the resident hair dresser who was turned into a vampire. She is now a single forever forty-year-old mom of one son who she's having a very hard time controlling. She has also had to reinvent her business. She now grooms the resident lycanthropes. They are forever grateful for her.

Enter Gabriel, a rogue lycanthrope but that's not all he is. He is also hot for Patsy but she isn't sure she wants anything to do with him or any other man. Then some very strange things start happening to Patsy and she is given some extremely disturbing news that she cannot for the life of her figure out why it should pertain to her of all people. She has way too much on her plate as it is with her son and her shop. She doesn't know how much more she can take!

Oh my, I laughed, I cried. I loved this book. I am now waiting impatiently for the next Broken Heart book. I highly recommend this and all of Michele Bardsley's Broken Heart series.

SUMMARY

When youโ€™re immortal, being a mom wonโ€™t kill youโ€” it will only make you stronger Even though all the non-vamps in Broken Heart, Oklahoma, skipped town, Patsy Donahue has kept her hair salon up and running thanks to the werewolves prowling around. They know how important good grooming is, especially a certain rogue shapeshifter whoโ€™s as sexy as he is deadly. Now, if only she could put a leash on her wild teenage son, whoโ€™s up to his neck in danger. The stress would kill Patsy, if she wasnโ€™t already undead. But her maternal instinct is still alive and kicking. And no one had better mess with her own flesh and bloodโ€ฆ
