Mia Traverse, concierge extraordinaire for the infamous Manhattan Hush Hotel, was used to satisfying the whims of even the craziest of clients. But somehow the stars seemed to be the most outlandish. For whatever reason, they were not only rich, but thought they were above reproach, even when it came to the law. The cast of Weinberg Film Company's newest, Coming Soon, had settled in and just about taken over the hotel. Paparazzi were everywhere.
Security was pretty good at keeping most of them at bay except for Gerry Geiger. He was the worst. Everyone hated him. Everyone had a motive for wanting him dead, and when he ended up that way, no one was sorry. That left a cast of suspects that soon to be retired detective Bax Milligan had to "audition" for the part of murderer. At least he felt like he was auditioning, because everyone had a part in the play, he just couldn't piece it altogether without the help of Mia.
All too willingly Mia steps up into the spotlight. The problem arises when she gets a little blinded by the light as someone tries to kill her as well. Not to mention the fact that how she got her information could land her in the "Big House". Oops! She was more than Bax had bargained for. He couldn't lose her as an informant or friend, or - oh well. He had to stay professional. He was about to retire, but Bax had to settle this thing before the killer made his "curtain call" again and people did more than just "break a leg".
Jo Leigh's COMING SOON is an excellent mystery/romance that sizzles right off the page. Everyone has secrets that even the tabloids can't keep track, just some are more deadly than others. Ms. Leigh keeps them coming one after the other with jaw dropping speed. The "pacing" on this read is perfect! Great story!
