Horror | Thriller

Deformed children being exploited and murdered... Wealthy CEOs going on murder mayhems... Overgrown plants coming to life at exponential speed... Bloody hieroglyphics at the scene of the crimes... What could all of this have in common? Reporter Brian Howells and Carrie Daniels, a social worker for one of the children's family, want to find out. Each of them have a vested interested in knowing the details, but for different reasons. Brian Howell has not seen his dad since he was a boy, but he knows that somehow his father is involved in all of the mysterious activities. Even though his mom lost touch with his dad, she swears he was the one writing her the bloody notes. With a murder too close to home, Brian must find out if his dad is the one responsible. Carrie's boss just happened to insist on her going to the benefit where rich Lew Haskell was attending. Feeling it was her duty to thank him for his contribution, Carrie struck up a conversation that set the ball in motion for Lew to want to date her, but he was married she thought. Who would have ever guessed the extent of things Lew was hiding in his mansion, and Carrie had to get away. There were too many loose ends, and she was bound and determined to tie them together. History has a way of repeating itself in the Vanishing as it spans the times and zones of our country. "Follow the money", Brian's mentor had said. That was before he went missing. Is money the root of all evil? Or is there something more primal in the air? Bentley Little's, THE VANISHING, is truly disturbing and horrific. It has the makings of an incredible horror flick. The intensity of the characters and the sophistication of the plot make it a thriller. Little struck gold on this one.
