Saba Watanabe spends months learning spells to keep dragons from taking control of her life, and possibly her heart, after the black dragon Malcolm decides to depart after centuries of exile. She has become a more powerful witch and the bond with her newfound friends is still growing, but when the nightmares from her childhood return and danger enters her life again, she has no choice but to use the dragon tears to summon Malcolm from his sanctuary.
After so many years of exile, Malcolm is excited to return to his archives, and though he did not want to leave Saba, his desire to see his home is irresistible. As soon as he hears Saba's call, he responds to find the rare white dragon loose and creating havoc among witches and dragons living in the San Francisco area. He is not yet sure what the connection is, but his calculating mind knows it cannot be good.
The second novel in Allyson James' Dragon series is colorful, creative and wonderfully entertaining. I am extremely curious to learn more about the blue dragon and his role in a world where dragons and witches come to life.
