Tres Navarre returns for a suspenseful thriller on a hurricane engulfed island. Rick Riordan treats the reader to a fast-paced mystery thriller. The lead character, Tres Navarre, continues to endear himself to the reader through his quick- witted and often self-deprecating dialogue. The author provides just enough detail to give depth and color to the characters and the scenes, but not so much as to slow down this quick-moving story. Plot twists are sufficient to keep the reader guessing as to the identity of the killer, without the burden of an overabundance of details. An exciting plot with plenty of suspense and humor make this a great choice for those seeking mystery, thrills and amusing characters, successfully rolled into one fast-paced tale.
