Thriller Police Procedural | Mystery Woman Sleuth

Detective Jane Perry has always had a sixth sense when it comes to solving her cases. But on her last case, a whole family died when she was unable to protect them. Since then, she's been constantly drunk in order to numb her mind.

When nine-year-old Emily Lawrence's mother and father are murdered, Emily refuses to talk to anyone except "Detective Jane." Jane doesn't understand this strange connection to Emily and doesn't want to have anything to do with her. However, her job is on the line, so her total cooperation is mandatory. When it becomes too dangerous for Emily, Jane takes her undercover to Peachville and has to try and piece the case together. But life in Peachville has its own dangers.

PROTECTOR is an extremely fast-paced, page-turning, jaw- clenching story. Not only does Jane have to put the pieces of the puzzle together, but she and Emily have to face and fight their own personal demons. The reader is pulled into living the story with the characters. If you like suspenseful thrillers, you will love this one.

SUMMARY

Hard drinking, rough and ready Denver Homicide detective Jane Perry possesses an almost psychic instinct for solving the most emotionally jarring homicides. But ever since the murder of a family Jane and her partner were protecting, she's been plagued with disconnected images that predict events yet to happen. Follow Jane as she becomes the sole protector of nine year old Emily Lawrence as attempts on her life are made and the visions keep coming in a fast- paced, mystical mystery thriller that captures the reader's attention from the first chapter and lingers on the psyche long after the last page is turned.
