Thomas Bolden grew up in the rough and tumble streets of Chicago, never staying in one foster home for long, and always wondering why his mother left him when he was only six years old. Perseverance and hard work bring him to the fast-paced world of New York's Wall Street, where he carves out a lucrative career as a dealmaker at Harrington Weiss.
A bizarre kidnapping and theft throw Thomas into a world of unknowns -- why did the thieves give the engraved watch back, why kidnap and attempt to throw him off of a building, who's Bobby Stillman and what is Crown? The biggest question remains -- what does it all have to do with him and why haven't they stopped chasing him and his girlfriend, Jennifer Dance?
I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue and suspense that Reich creates as well as the multi-dimensional characters. The labyrinthine plot held my interest, even though I was able to guess at the ending about three quarters of the way through the book. This is an engaging read for fans of Christopher Reich.
