After Sara McHern refuses her father's attempt to marry her
to a smelly oaf, Sara finds herself stuck in a convent
until she relents. For two years, Sara prays for a
solution. Her prayers are answered when a Highlander
arrives at the convent looking for his missing son. Sara
has the information he needs. Without a subtle bone in her
body, Sara proceeds to lay out the facts and her plan. The
Highlander will marry her then return her to her clan.
After a short time, Sara will give him the information
regarding his son and he will proceed to desert her. Her
father will have no other option but to leave her alone
since she cannot marry. Cullen Longton swore to his dying wife, Alaina, that he
would find their son. Furious at Alaina for eloping with a
commoner, her father had ordered her baby's death.
Incognito, Cullen searches for answers at the abbey where
Alaina gave birth, where he finds an outspoken and
outlandish woman bargaining with him. Cullen enters into a
marriage-of-convenience with Sara, while snarling at her
the entire time. Intimidation does not work, for Sara
proves she's just as willful as Cullen. Sara provides a spark in Cullen's life that he refuses to
acknowledge. He does not envision remarrying or opening his
heart again to love. Sara knows rejection all too well and
guards her heart. It takes an evil earl's dire threat for
these two warriors to surrender their hearts. Ms. Fletcher pens a dynamic tale filled with sexual
tensions as Cullen and Sara battle to conceal their
emerging feelings. Their verbal sparring provides smiles
and laughter in this entertaining story.
SUMMARY

they struggle to escape the web of deceit that surrounds
