Amy Walker disappears for six months, vowing to never become a victim again. She's trying to build the courage she'll need to face her demons after her captivity by the Abu Sayyaf terrorist cell on Jolo Island, where she was tortured and raped. Amy reinvents herself with an alias and starts over, only to begin running for her life when her research on her captors gets too close to the truth. She goes to the only place she's sure she'll be safe.
When Dallas Garrett opens his door to find Amy, exhausted and worn out, his first reaction is not one he's proud of. He fell in love with Amy the day his rescue team found her bound and beaten on that godforsaken island, and apparently a six-month absence hasn't changed that fact. Dallas has his own demons to face, but he's absolutely sure that helping Amy resolve her mystery will help him with his own.
Dallas and Amy venture across the world to chase an evil that began many years ago during the Hitler era and has spread across vast countries. They struggle to trust their love and fight to save not only their future, but the future of the world as well.
This is the sixth book in Cindy Gerard's Bodyguard series and it's as fabulous and racy as the first five. The characters have you laughing out loud while cheering them on. I hope Ms. Gerard follows through with her letter at the end of the book and branches out with the characters we've met, but have not had the chance to know yet. I'm already looking forward to it.
