Romance Contemporary

Holly Lambert has finally straightened her life out. She's done what needed doing and is looking forward to her run and a second chance. Holly won't return from her run. Her death will lead each of her friends and her husband down a twisted path.

Dan Lambert has been faithful to his wife even though she hasn't returned the favor. He is looking forward to going home and working out their problems. When he is notified of her death, he returns to take care of their daughter, Kylie.

Camryn Bruce is devastated when her marriage ends in divorce and she is left childless. Her father comes and goes mysteriously. Her career is at a comfortable place. When Holly is killed, Camryn is thrilled to learn that Kylie has been left in her custody. Holly's father and Dan aren't as happy. Each plans to do whatever it takes to get Kylie. When suspicious events begin happening, Dan learns that he is as interested in protecting Camryn as in protecting Kylie.

Gina Solari lost the love of her life to Holly and has never recovered from the loss. Holly's death will lead Gina to seek to fulfill her obsessive dreams...dreams that will lead to tragedy for many of the players.

Ms. Sheedy has written a complicated and tightly woven plot, with many unexpected turns. One of the things I most enjoyed about the story was the unexpected identity of Holly's killer. Some of her characters are bizarre which adds to the twisting plot.

SUMMARY

I Would Live For You...

Deep in the woods, a runner takes long strides, satisfied that at last she’s on the right path. She’s done what she had to do, and she’ll make the best of her second chance. She’ll live by the motto on her t-shirt: life is good. Only when the surprise visitor with the familiar face steps from the cover of tall trees, does she learn something else: life is also short...

I Would Die For You...

Camryn Bruce can’t believe her best friend has been brutally murdered. Now Camryn is the guardian of her precious little girl, Kylie. To Camryn, Kylie is like a gift, the daughter she could never have. But other people want Kylie, too. And someone will do anything to get her—lie, cheat, steal, and worse. So much worse...

I Would Kill For You...

Dan Lambert may only have married Kylie’s mother to help her out, but that doesn’t change the love he feels for the little girl who has always called him “Daddy.” He won’t sell out on Kylie, and if that means getting into Camryn’s life, so be it. He hadn’t counted on the hunger she’d awaken in him, a passion he never thought he’d find again—a happiness that could be short-lived. Someone is waiting, watching... wanting. Someone whose dark passions will not be denied. And Dan’s protection may not be enough to stop a twisted killer from getting close enough to kill...
