Miriel may be responsible for running the household, but she's not as meek as her warrior sisters believe her to be. Miriel has many secrets; one of them being that she's the mysterious Shadow. When a stranger arrives, claiming to want to court the fair Miriel, she's determined to discover what he's really up to. Hired mercenary Rand la Nuit has come to Rivenloch Castle in hopes of finding the Shadow, so he can receive his reward. In order to get in Rivenloch, Rand declares he's there to court the beautiful Miriel. However, when she arrives and kisses him senseless, claiming to have met him at a tournament, they both know it to be a lie. He will need to conduct his business and try to find out what the young lady is up to before he loses his head and heart to Miriel all together. KNIGHT'S PRIZE is what you get when you have a mysterious shadow and a notorious mercenary. This story is full of surprises, a lot of action and deception and best of all, the discovery of love and an attraction so forceful Miriel and Rand could burn from the heat. I loved it and highly recommend this medieval romance. You should also read Miriel's warrior sisters' stories: Helena in CAPTIVE HEART and Deirdre in LADY DANGER.

SUMMARY
