Despite having a masters degree in architecture, 26-year-old
Emma Mayson
is still having a hard time finding an intern position at an
architecture firm.
While searching for her dream job, 26-year old Emma Mayson
decides to
work as a maid. She figures that this way she'll get to see
the interiors of a lot
of homes, which will be good inspiration, and since it's
work that she knows
has no future she will not lose sight of her aspirations to
make a living as an
architect. In fact, she's so career focused that she hasn't
had time for a
relationships, or even casual sex, and can't remember the
last time she went
to bed with a man. She figures that all she needs right now
is a rich man who
will take care of her, and in return only expect a hot time
between the sheets.
Enter Russell Carrick. Russ is a handsome, successful older
man who happens
to be one of Emma's clients. Emma is instinctively drawn to
him, and even
offers to do grocery shopping and cooking for him—a service
that she
doesn't provide for any of her other clients. Though Russ
doesn't need his
house cleaned, he feels sorry for Emma when she tells him
about the hard
times she's having making ends meet and finding inspiration
as an architect.
When he hears her proposal about being a man's mistress, he
decides to let
her stay in his currently vacant former apartment. In
exchange, he'll take her
up on her cooking services. Only, when he makes this
proposition to Emma,
she misunderstands him and assumes that he actually wants
her for a
mistress... and she accepts the position.
THE EROTIC SECRETS OF A FRENCH MAID was an entertaining,
lust-filled story
with a decent plot and interesting characters. Emma was an
unusual heroine
in that she put her career goals before her own happiness,
and seemed
willing to stick by that direction until she found herself
falling for Russ. Russ
was an unlikely hero, but easy to like since he sort of fell
into being Emma's
sugar daddy but made every effort to please her and make
sure that she felt
comfortable opening up to him. THE EROTIC SECRETS OF A
FRENCH MAID
would definitely be a fun book to take on vacation this
spring since it's light-
hearted, passionate, and well-written.
After
an unsuccessful search for her dream job in architecture,
Emma Mayson
becomes a maid for an incredibly handsome, wealthy
entrepreneur. But
Russell Carrick is also a total workaholic who has lost his
zest for
life -- or has he just misplaced it? Setting aside her
feather duster
and her inhibitions, Emma rekindles her employer's passion
with a
fantasy world of boundless pleasure. But then the
unthinkable happens:
She falls for him. Can she make Russell see her as more than a
plaything?
