Contemporary Chick Lit

Rich has always been a carefree, love them and leave them type of guy until he meets Tash. Almost from the moment he sees her, he knows that she is the one for him. He starts dating her exclusively and soon they are engaged. Tash has never had any doubts about Rich being the person that completes her. She figures that as long as they are completely honest with each other and have no secrets, they will make it. They decide that just the two of them will marry on the slopes in France, but at the last minute they ask a small group of friends to join them. What can possibly go wrong in a week's time?

The people that can attend the wedding end up being Rich's friends from college. The group used to take skiing holidays all the time, so they are hoping to recapture the fun that they used to have. Ted and Kate are the married couple. They have a few problems of their own that they are keeping from the others. The divorced friend is Lloyd, who leaves his girlfriend at home. The single friends are Mia and Jason, who used to date in college. Mia has her own agenda that involves Jason, and Jason has been looking elsewhere for love. The last addition to the group is Jayne, Ted's younger sister and one of Rich's ex- lovers. Jayne is the one secret that Rich never divulged to his friends let alone to Tash. Can he keep Jayne a secret or will Tash find out the truth? Will their relationship survive the week?

Adele Parks has written a lighthearted tale about the trials of love and friendship. She gives the reader a glimpse into each person's life and how the past relates to the current situation. The whole cast seems to be self- centered, and looking out for their best interests. The only down to earth person seems to be Tash who is willing to put up with everyone's selfishness even though they are there for her wedding. I particularly enjoyed the drama provided by Mia and Jayne. STILL THINKING OF YOU is a reminder that no matter how much you want to hold on to the past, people do change, and life goes on.

SUMMARY

Rich has always been skeptical about falling in love. Natasha has always fully expected to. And when these two find each other, they win the entire True Love package--tenderness and hot sex and open-eyed kisses. Long weekends in bed and talk of marriage and babies. The kind of love where there's no room for secrets. That, after all, is what Tash says will keep them going strong: total and complete honesty.

Now Rich and Tash are engaged, and Rich's old school friends crash into their love cocoon with big plans of celebrating, along with spouses and significant others, on a trip to a stunning French ski resort. But a lot can happen in a week that's meant to capture the free-spirited fun they all shared a decade ago. And in the glare of a whiteout on the slopes, Tash crosses paths with the one secret Rich should have kept: his colorful, vivacious, needy ex-lover, Jayne...
