Lily Tyler doesn't have the best track record with men.
There's her failed five-minute marriage; Nathan, her next
door neighbor who's been pining after her for years; and of
course Gerald, the object of her own unrequited affections.
The only male she can count on is Doug and he's a dog,
literally. When a sexy pilot moves into the other half of
her duplex, Lily starts to have trouble remembering just
why she's been waiting so long for Gerald.
Brady Cole is on a self-induced date diet. The last woman
he got involved with turned out to be a nutcase, and the
ones before her weren't much better. He's decided that
maybe being alone might not be so bad after all. But his
hot new neighbor is making it really hard for him to stick
to his guns. One steamy kiss sends his self-control to the
limit.
Doug knows it's his job to watch out for Lily. She's just
not that great at doing it for herself. Plus it's fun! He
gets to eat expensive leather motorcycle seats and steal
shoes. Not to mention the feeling of power that comes from
knowing he can scare off any guy who comes close to Lily.
But for some reason, his usual tactics don't seem to be
working with this new guy, and Doug is wondering if he
might have met the one man who can help him take care of
his Lily.
BEWARE OF DOUG is a fun story about a girl and her Doug, I
mean dog, who find love in the most unexpected place --
right next door! I loved the dog's-eye-view of some of the
action. Fast-paced and comical, this is a must read.
Lily Tyler's very interested in her sexy new neighbor,
private jet pilot Brady Cole. Brady could really go for
smart, gorgeous Lily. The fire that's generated whenever
they're together isn't just chemical . . . it's nuclear!
But then there's Doug . . .
The real ruler of the roost—Lily's noisy, nasty, match-
mauling pooch—Doug likes to greet anyone he dislikes with
yaps, nips, and very unpleasant surprises. And Doug does
not like Brady. (Doug, in fact, doesn't like anybody—except
Lily, of course. And, oddly enough, the squeaky clean,
partner-track attorney whom Lily's domineering dad would
love for his dutiful daughter to marry.)
Brady's no canine fan to begin with—and Doug's the devil-
dog incarnate! But Lily could never get serious with anyone
who doesn't click with her precious puppy—so Brady's going
to need a lot more than great looks, smooth charm, and hot
passion to get himself out of the doghouse and into Lily's
life!
