Abé leads the reader through Lia and Zane's journey from England to the Carpathian mountains to retrieve Draumr. Zane must overcome his humble beginnings in order to achieve the greatness his thief's heart feels that he deserves. This novel captivated me as I traveled through the chilling Carpathian countryside and Lia's dreams. Abé's character development of Zane through the use of Lia's dreamscapes was striking. I was enthralled by the story, and can't wait for the story of the drákon to continue.
