Feeling the rush of wind across my face, I dove faster than I believed physically possible, risking my own life to save someone who despised me.

I hadn't been like this before, placing the safety and happiness of others ahead of my own. I guess it's just another thing that'd changed since that dream months ago. Thoughts of my own death (and of never seeing the guy I loved again) grew surprisingly inconsequential.

Ignoring the jagged rocks and churning water below, I pressed forward—praying I'd make it in time.
