Betty Jo Schuler

Betty Jo Schuler is a former elementary teacher who writes for children, teens, and adults. She's been print and electronically published, and is proud of both. She instructs online classes for Writer's Digest and Barnes and Noble U.

She has two middle-grade books published by Writers Exchange; Brain Man and Double Trouble Ditto Box, featuring Randy O'Rourke and his unpredictable inventions. Ms. Schuler also has two chapter books for younger readers. Baby For Sale and Secret 'Till We're Grown (DiskUs) were inspired by a cul-de-sac with twenty- one kids, where her grandchildren lived. Her first published children's book, Ice Cream For Breakfast (Willowisp, 1991), was the story of a town where everything is backward. Betty Jo enjoys writing humor. She also enjoys writing romance. Heartthrob (Bantam, 1995) was her first YA book and a Holt Medallion Finalist. Second Chance at Love (DiskUs,2000) is her most recent young adult book. Is it any surprise that two out of three of her published adult books, Male Wanted and Winning Chance are romantic comedies? Camp Cheer, an interactive mystery for teens and 2001 EPPIES FINALIST, is her only mystery book to date. Betty Jo lives in the Midwest in the USA with Paul, her husband of twenty-five years. They enjoy their married kids and their families.
