R. Garland Gray was born and raised in a closely-knit family in the Bronx. She started writing in college, often staying up all hours of the night transforming an active imagination into romantic storytelling.

Led by a love of science fiction, fantasy and romance, she beckons readers into her unique worlds. With strong, believable heroes and heroines caught in inexorable forces she weaves passionate, compelling tales that entertain and escape the ordinary.

Garland lives with her husband in a small country house in New England. She enjoys stargazing, long country walks, riding on the back of her husband's motorcycle, and ice cream.
