Kara Lennox

Pseudonym: Karen Leabo.

Kara Lennox, (who also writes as Karen Leabo) is the award-winning, bestselling author of more than fifty novels of romance and romantic suspense for Harlequin/Silhouette and Bantam Loveswept. Currently she writes for Harlequin's American line and Silhouette Desire. She has four books scheduled for 2007, including a trilogy for Harlequin American that revolves around a fire station (FIREHOUSE 59) and a book in the HOTEL MARCHAND continuity series. Prior to writing romance, Kara was a freelance writer with hundreds of magazine articles published, as well as brochures, press releases, advertisements and business plans. She has also written screenplays, three of which have been optioned by Hollywood, New York and overseas producers. Kara's books are often cited for their ground-breaking, quirky, or otherwise unusual subject matter. She has written about ostrich ranching, Mayan archeology, brain tumors, child abandonment, bounty hunters, con men, witchcraft, and storm chasing. Her novels have been nominated for numerous awards, including Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Rita award, the Reader’s Choice award and the Holt Medallion. She has won a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award. Kara is a member of Romance Writers of America and Dallas Area Romance Authors.
