Emily Franklin
EMILY FRANKLIN is the author of Liner Notes (Simon Schuster/Downtown Press, 2003-hailed by Tom Perrotta as a "charming debut [and] a grab-bag of delights"). Forthcoming from Penguin is a new teen fiction series; The Principles of Love. Having spent her formative years half in London and half in Boston, Franklin studied at Oxford University, received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College, and her MA in Writing and Media Studies from Dartmouth College. Her poetry, fiction, and articles have been published in The Boston Globe, The Sarah Lawrence Literary Review, Pindeldyboz, Brevity:Creative Nonfiction, Cargoes, The Improper Bostonian, The Word, and Dialogue among others. She has been a part of the Boston Jewish Book Fair and a key note speaker at various high schools, colleges, and temples. She is on the staff of National Public Radio's 'Car Talk' show and lives near Boston with her husband and three children.
