Chester D. Campbell
Chester D. Campbell has been writing in one form or another
since attending
the University of Tennessee, where he graduated in 1949
with a major in
journalism. He worked as a newspaper reporter in Knoxville
and Nashville,
free-lanced articles for national magazines, worked in PR
and advertising,
edited a city magazine, was speechwriter for a governor. He
also worked
eighteen years as manager of a statewide trade association.
He also served
as an Air Force intelligence officer in the Korean War and
was active in
the Air National Guard, retiring from the Air Force Reserve
as a lieutenant
colonel. He turned to writing novels after retirement.
Secret of the Scroll
will be followed in the fall of 2003 by Designed to Kill, a
mystery set on
Perdido Key, FL. Campbell is a member of Mystery Writers of
America,
Sisters in Crime, Tennessee Writers Alliance and Tennessee
Mountain
Writers. He and his wife Sarah live in Madison, TN.
