Lois Gladys Leppard

Ms. Leppard started her first Mandie story when she was eleven years old, and has since written 35 complete Mandie books. However, before all of that, Ms. Leppard attended Furman University, University of Maryland Extension in Libya, North Africa, and studied music for a few years in New York City where she and her sister sang professionally. When Ms. Leppard decided to dust off her first Mandie story and edit it, Bethany House Publishers recognized the valuable lessons the story had for young people, and thus the Mandie Book series began. Lois Gladys Leppard lives in South Carolina.
