Joan M. Fox
New Jersey bred and born, Joan has lived in the same state
most of her life. Currently, she hangs her hat in the semi-
rural, rolling hills of northwestern New Jersey surrounded
by domesticated cows, horses, goats, ducks, and chickens,
as well as sundry wildlife like black bears, deer and wild
turkeys. Her personal pets are a black and white, part-
Siamese feline, a young Rottweiler named Deedle, and an
aged Thoroughbred mare tagged Starr.
Earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Fine Arts Education
from New Jersey Teachers College, she left teaching soon
after and joined the advertising field in New York City.
She wrote ads, radio commercials and later, direct mail,
catalog copy and public reations articles. She later earned
a N.J. Real Estate Broker's license, listed and sold land
and houses before retiring to what she calls "more creative
endeavors."
Besides writing, Joan is an accomplished watercolorist
and has sold many paintings. She believes she's found her
writing niche in romantic fiction set in England during the
years between 1800-1850. Her second novel, the sequel to
THE RELUCTANT DUKE, entitled TAME MY HEART,
will be published in Spring 2003. Joan is currently working
on several new romantic novels.
