Lee Killough

Lee Killough began her career publishing science fiction,
but has loved mysteries equally since discovering both at
age eleven. Because her small hometown library had a
limited collection of SF and mysteries, she began writing
her own to keep from running out of them. But she hated
choosing which genre to write....and eventually solve the
dilemma by combining the two. Approximately half of her
sixteen novels are mysteries with SF or dark fantasy
detectives: vampire cop Garreth Mikaelian in BloodWalk and
Blood Games; werewolf cop Allison Goodnight in Wilding
Nights,; a ghost cop in Killer Karma.
Lee was born on May 5th (the same as for Sue Grafton's
Kinsey Milhone) Cinco de Mayo. How many other people have
a birthday the whole country of Mexico celebrates?
Yard Dog Press has just released a re-edited version of Lee
Killough's African fantasy novel The Leopard's Daughter. It
has been out of print for almost twenty years, but Yard Dog
feels the book deserves another chance to reach readers.
Published with Leopard's Daughter is a previously
unpublished SF murder mystery novella "Aftershock."
