Jackie Stephens

Jackie has always loved to create stories and first felt the desire to become a writer many years ago when a good friend suggested that she put her vivid imagination to work. But it wasn't until after Jackie resigned from a seventeen year banking career that she finally turned a serious eye to pursing that dream. Fueled by her travels throughout much of the southwest, and the years she spent on her father's ranch, it was only natural that she would pen her stories in the Old West settings that have captured her fascination since childhood. She joined Romance Writers of America in 1997 and a year later made her first sale to Kensington Publishing Corp. for their Zebra line. At the time of that sale Jackie was invited to write a Valentine theme novella as well. She has since sold two more historicals for the Zebra line and is currently working on her next release. Jackie is the proud mother of two grown children and one adorable grandson who is the pride and joy of her heart. She currently makes her home in "Cowboy Country" --a.k.a. Fort Worth, Texas with her own special hero/husband, and her spoiled rotten cat.
