Betty Davidson

Betty Baker Davidson was raised amid the soybean and tobacco fields of Centenary, a farming village in rural South Carolina. In that quiet setting, her only source of entertainment was her overactive imagination. Luckily, the county bookmobile made a weekly stop, bringing a variety of books to the rural population. At thirteen, Betty read Gwen Bristow's DEEP SUMMER and her love of romantic fiction was born. When she was a student at Columbia College, her English professor advised her to write romance novels, but it was twenty years before she followed through on his advice. In 1973, she met her future husband when he wandered into her father's country store for a Coke. It was not love at first sight, but several visits and several Cokes later, a courtship had begun. In 1979, they were married and have been living happily ever since in Columbia, South Carolina. Write to her at Post Office Box 7621, Columbia, South Carolina 29202.
