Dawn Stewardson

Dawn Stewardson lives on a Vancouver Island mountain with her husband, a black cat named Satchmo, and two dogs -- Molly, the Rottweiler/St. Bernard cross and Sam, the Bouvier.

Her husband is missing from the picture because he was behind the camera. Satchmo declined to pose in the belief that getting too close to two hundred pounds of canine isn't the wisest thing for a ten pound cat. (By the way, the dogs encourage you to keep buying Dawn's books, because they like to eat. A lot.)

Since she began writing romances, over 35 of her novels have been published. Several have received awards from Romantic Times, and three of her titles were named Best Long Contemporary Romance of the year by the Colorado Romance Writers and New Jersey Romance Writers.

Aside from writing, Dawn gardens, hikes with the dogs and travels. Her most recent major trip took her to Peru (the highlight there was Machu Picchu) and the Galapagos Islands where she swam with sea lions, giant tortoises and the occasional shark.
