After winning the Golden Triangle Writer’s Guild contest for best contemporary romance in 1987 and 1988 and becoming a finalist in the Romance Writers of America national contest in 1989, Patricia Kay sold her first novel, CINDERELLA GIRL, to Silhouette Special Edition. Written under her former pseudonym of Trisha Alexander, the book became a WaldenBooks best seller. Since then Pat has sold 32 additional novels of romantic fiction, many of which have been both WaldenBooks and USA Today best sellers. She currently writes for both Silhouette and Berkley.

THE WRONG CHILD, her first novel for Berkley, was nominated for a RITA award as Best Single Title Contemporary novel of 2000 by the Romance Writers of America. Her most recent release is THE OTHER WOMAN, Berkley Books, July, 2001. Upcoming are JUST A SMALL-TOWN GIRL, Silhouette Special Edition, December, 2001 and FAMILY ALBUM, Berkley Books, September, 2002.

A popular speaker, Pat is a former teacher of fiction writing at the University of Houston. She and her husband have three children, three adored grandchildren, and two cats.
