Born and raised in Boise, Idaho - Clare enjoys setting her novels within the Gem state. Clare received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications Studies from Utah State University, followed with a minor in Family Consumer Sciences and certificate in Women's and Gender Studies.

Clare is a mother to four young spit-fire kids who would give Mary Poppins a serious run for her money. When she isn't hunting or gathering in the Amazon (app, not the jungle), she's nodding along to her husband's grotesque yet highly detailed stories about feet, an occupational hazard of being married to a podiatrist.

Between the chaos, Clare finds her calm (and competitive edge) on the golf course, where she's known to sink the occasional Birdie or two, and her guilty pleasure in puzzling while listening to true crime.

Clare began writing on whim years ago, when her cousin convinced her to join NaNoWriMo. What started as a playful challenge quickly became a passion. Her stories now blend humor, heart, and a delicious dash of creepiness.
