Lisa Howells

Lisa has been a journalist in consumer media for over 20 years, working for a host of market-leading titles throughout her career. She currently works in true crime, and is committed to being an advocate in the field. As well as writing and editing for magazines, she works as a book reviewer, championing (particularly crime) fiction in all its forms.

She regularly interviews leading authors for industry events and festivals, hosts Book Club Live for CrimeCon UK, and is on the judging panel for the Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel Of The Year Award. She has a master’s degree in scriptwriting, and her debut novel, a female-centric crime thriller, is set in the brutal environs of Alaska.
