Shirlee Busbee

Shirlee Elaine Busbee was born in San Jose, California in 1941. She grew up with two sisters and three brothers traveling the world with her parents as her father was a career navel officer. Shirlee attended high school in Morocco. On returning to California she attended the Burbank Bussines College of Santa Rosa. Shirlee married Howard Busbee in 1963 While working in Solano County, she met her life-long friend and mentor Rosemary Rogers. Shirlee followed Rosemary into the world of romance writing, carving out her own niche in the historical romance genre with her much celebrated and still popular first novel - Gypsy Lady.
