J. A. Morgenstein is a former professional ballroom dancer whose unexpected journey into dancesport reshaped his life. Though rarely chosen for sports as a child, he found the courage as an adult to walk into a dance studio—an act that sparked a lifelong passion. Dance taught him how to step out of his head, trust the moment, and embrace confidence through movement.

Inspired by its transformative impact, he became a teacher, discovering deep fulfillment in guiding others and recognizing teaching as an act of service.

When lockdown brought the ballroom world to a standstill, Morgenstein suddenly had time to reflect. What began as casual writing during that quiet season gradually unfolded into a new creative path—one that ultimately led him from the dance floor to the page.
