Leon Nixon

Leon Nixon is an award-winning audiobook narrator, director, audiobook coach, and playwright. A three-time Audie Award recipient, he has also received ten AudioFile Magazine Earphones Awards and has narrated two Pulitzer Prize–winning books.

Before his creative career, he served as a police captain and retired after 30 years of public service. He holds a Juris Doctor and a bachelor’s degree in business.

An audiobook narrator since 2016, he has narrated more than 300 audiobooks and has directed theater, film, and audiobooks. He is a trained actor in the Meisner technique, an accomplished improviser trained in Los Angeles and Chicago, and a member of the group that holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest continuous improv show at 150 hours.
