Callie Beaulieu
Raised in Mystic, Connecticut—yes, the town from Mystic Pizza—Callie Beaulieu is used to fielding questions about the famous film location (and confirming that the restaurant is very real).
After earning her BFA from the University of Connecticut, she headed to the Midwest and spent fifteen years performing in Chicago’s storefront theaters. In the late ’90s, she stepped away from acting for what became a thirteen-year hiatus. During that time, she learned to figure skate, lived abroad in Antigua—where, with no ice rinks available, she became a Caribbean ballroom champion—traveled extensively, helped reconstruct a castle in France, and navigated marriage, divorce, marriage, and divorce again. Every bit of that adventure has shaped her voice as a performer and audiobook narrator.
Her return to acting shifted her from “young mom” roles to playing Lady Macbeth, a transition she embraced. The life experience she carries brings depth and strength to her performances. Since then, she has appeared in Law & Order: Organized Crime, The Girls on the Bus, the upcoming Best Medicine, and the films Founders Day, Peter’s Plan, Birthrite, and the highly anticipated Ella McCay.
People often say she’s full of energy. She laughs at that—because she’s definitely full of something (and no, it’s not Mystic Pizza).
