Keith R.A. DeCandido

Keith R.A. DeCandido is an American author who wrote the short stories UNITed We Fall and Life from Lifelessness, and edited Short Trips: The Quality of Leadership.

DeCandido (who often contributes to newsgroups using the initials KRAD), has an extensive resume of novels, short stories and comic books to his credit and is one of a handful of writers to have written original fiction for both the Doctor Who and Star Trek franchises.

Most recently, DeCandido has also been the lead writer on the official comic book continuation of the TV series Farscape. In issue 4 of the Farscape story arc "Gone and Back", DeCandido includes a reference to the Doctor (named by protagonist John Crichton as a practitioner of "percussive maintenance", i.e. thumping control panels to get them to work).
