Ann Adams
In a past life, Ann was a junior national champion, national medalist, and resident of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York. She competed in sprint kayaking—a sport that’s a lot like rowing, except kayakers face the right direction and no one has ever heard of them.
Since then, Ann has earned degrees in public policy and economics from The George Washington University and University of California, Berkeley. Now, she lives in Sacramento, California, where she spends most of her time analyzing public policy and going for moderate hikes with her husband and overly enthusiastic cockapoo. Oh, and of course, writing books with happy endings.
Her debut novel is Racing Hearts: a story about a national team rower who’s fighting to keep love from derailing her Olympic dreams.
