In Arvidsjaur, she received the award for "Arvidsjaur Resident of the Year 2022" and the following year, 2023, "Arvidsjaur's Culture Prize". In 2024, she received the award "New Entrepreneur of the Year" in Arvidsjaur. In 2025, she was awarded the Stig Sjödin Prize with the motivation:
For an authorship that, with burlesque humour, deep pain and roots in both the present and the past, describes a great wound in the history of the Sami indigenous people.
Tina Harnesk brings to life a predatory exploitation of both people and nature with small means and great effect. She has a fantastic, playful language, full of both warmth, sadness and anger. And creates a number of wonderful characters, worth loving!
She is married and has two children and has a background in the library sector and is passionate about Sami literature. She is a cat farmer, houseplant hugger, hobby fisherman, heavy consumer of books and now also the happy owner of a village racket.
She made her debut in 2022 with Folk som sår i snö (Bokfabriken) and is currently working on the independent novel Mödramärg (Bokfabriken, 2024)
