Robin S. Hasuki

Robin S. Hasuki

Robin S. Hasuki is a journalist, film researcher, ghostwriter, and author. Having spent five years living in Japan, he brings rare authenticity and cultural fluency to his work, shaped by an academic background in Japanese culture studies and a deep-rooted passion for the country’s cinematic and literary landscapes.

His writing has appeared in both national newspapers and niche magazines, often exploring the intersections of film, music, and modern Japanese society. He is also the founder of Japanese Cinema Archives, a growing platform dedicated to in-depth, commercially accessible writing on Japanese film with an academic edge.

Tokyo Tangents is his debut novel.
