Cathy Parker

Cathy Parker is a former journalist, attorney, and volunteer at a zoo where she enjoyed the company of one moody but lovely beluga whale (and where she also shoveled musk ox doo doo and cleaned smelly unidentifiable items out of the otters' pool). Previous excursions include trekking to see mountain gorillas in the wilds of Rwanda (worms in her socks, though) and searching for orangutans in the Borneo jungles (an orphan baby orangutan fell asleep on her chest). She lived in Costa Rica for three years with her cat JMack, but she lost him there. She also traveled to Timor Leste to snorkel with blue whales. Now she lives in Tacoma, Washington with a hellion of a cat named Mochi.
