K.L. Denman

K.L. Denman was born in Calgary, Alberta but has lived most of her life near Vancouver, British Columbia. Formal studies included Fine Arts, Philosophy, Literature and Creative Writing, and as a lifelong learner, she’s gained knowledge about numerous other areas of interest, including nature, environmental stewardship, equine care, gardening, and photography.

She began her writing career as a contributor to her school newspaper but didn’t take it up seriously until many years later when in between raising children and “the day job” she found time to contribute some pieces to magazines and newspapers. She soon found her true passion in writing fiction, and short stories were followed by books for Young Adults, Middle School readers, and most recently, adult fiction.

One of the best choices she made to advance her writing skills was joining a critique group comprised of supportive writers who exchanged valuable feedback. She highly recommends this to all aspiring writers!
