Stephanie Woodman

Stephanie Woodman, with a background in engineering and a stint as a high school math teacher, channels her diverse experiences into her debut novel, Eye Contact Over Truk. Inspired by Clive Cussler’s underwater adventures, Robert James Waller’s emotional prose, and the intriguing biographies of Aline, Countess of Romanones, Stephanie blends real-life depth with fictional storytelling.

The idea for Eye Contact Over Truk originated during a 1996 scuba trip to Truk Lagoon. Stephanie put the project on hold during her career but completed it after retiring in 2021, infusing the novel with themes of perseverance, forgiveness, and adventure.

Outside writing, Stephanie enjoys pickleball, golf, scuba diving, and traveling. She also volunteers in robotics programs and has a colorful past as a clown.
