Diane Parrish

Diane Parrish

From before she could write a word Diane Parrish inhabited stories of her own invention, so vivid to her that she shared one with her first-grade class as a real-life family drama. That may or may not have been the same year she also gave herself a new first name.

Once she could put crayon to paper she began recording her stories and poems. Although she always loved writing, her practical parents encouraged her to pursue another career and she received a B. S. degree in Dental Hygiene.

Diane's passion for learning and the outcome of a career counseling test next pointed her in the direction of law school. After receiving her J. D. she practiced law in Kansas City, where she met her husband and entered a new phase as a wife, mother, expat, volunteer, and writer of informational pieces.

She also made a clandestine return to fiction writing.
